About
Denizen Studios is a New York-based, independent production company that specializes in artist-driven non-fiction film and media.
Founded in 2020 by filmmakers Jaydn Ray Gosselin and Jacob Fertig, our films have been supported by the Academy Award-nominated team at Field of Vision, Amnesty International, Doc Society, Tribeca Institute, Docs by the Sea, If/Then, and Scientific American. They have premiered at major festivals including SXSW, Hot Docs, AFI, New Orleans, Indy Shorts, Hot Springs, and Doc10. Our work spans world-class international film festivals, museums and galleries, and publications.
A small and specialized production company, Denizen excels in bringing projects from concept to completion with a meticulous, hands-on approach. We create high-quality works that push the boundaries of traditional non-fiction forms and provoke thoughtful reflections. We offer comprehensive production and post-production services, ensuring each project gets exactly what it needs, whether we handle the whole process or provide area-specific support.
